What Can We Say About the Fuel Crisis?
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
The ever-increasing demand for energy is surpassing the real supply, heading the planet toward a serious energy crisis. We know that the energy we use every day is limited, yet we continue to take it for granted. There is no unlimited supply of gas, oil, or even water. Yet, we have not taken enough precautions to handle the impending energy crisis. This isn’t only the government’s responsibility, but every person ’s.
Gas and oil have become expensive, and every day they go closer to depletion. Some ignorant individuals believe that energy crisis is made up. It seems they are not looking at the whole picture. There have been three foremost energy crises that have occurred – the 1973 oil crisis, the 1979 energy crisis, and the 1990 oil-price hike, not to mention several regional crises.
Prices have been steadily increasing for the last several years, due to the ever-increasing demand and the continuing depletion of energy sources.
How soon will it be all gone? Are the doubters right when they say that we are making a mountain of a molehill, or is the energy crisis for real? Well, reckon about this: Fifty percent of the planet ’s oil is gone. If the present rate of depletion continues, the planet ’s oil will be gone in 32 years. Imagine if the rate of consumption were to increase! We all know that is bound to increase. So, even the present generation will face an acute energy crisis in years to come, much less future generations.
What are we doing about it?
Are we equipped to face the coming energy crisis? What can we do to help prevent it? Well, to start
with, we need to admit
and appreciate the importance of our energy resources and stop taking them for granted. We have to minimize the use of oil, gas, electricity, or any other fuel. The planet
cannot afford to dissipate
any unfilled
energy. It is also vital
to broaden awareness about the limited availability of energy resources. Simple measures like unification
a car pool, switching off the car at stop lights, and reducing the use of gas and oil in everyday activities will go a long way in crisis-preparedness.
What are some alternate energy options?
As a responsible planet
citizen, start looking for alternative energy solutions like solar energy and wind energy. It is both practical and cost-effective to use these alternative energy solutions. You will not only cut down your utility bills but also contribute to a better future of the planet

Solar Panel: What Type of Maintenance Do They Need?
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
If you worry that having solar panels installed on your home will mean expensive, time-consuming maintenance, you can stop worrying. Most solar panels used for residential systems are built of solar cells encapsulated in thick glass, mounted onto metal racks. As they have no moving components, once they are installed they require minimal maintenance.
Now, this may depend on where you live, the kind of weather typical for your region and whether or not your yard has a lot of plants . For instance, if you live in an area that experiences a lot of snow in the winter, you may have to spend some time following a heavy snowfall clearing off the solar panels so the sunlight can reach them. Or, if you have fixed dust storms, or live in an urban-type area that has a lot of dirt in the air, you may need to clean the glass panels from time to time to keep them working at most efficiency. But if there is a ample quantity of rain, that should keep your solar panels clean enough to function properly.
If there are many deciduous plants in your yard, including evergreen plants , you may need to ensure that the leaves or needles don’t obscure your solar panels. But a quick swipe with a broom should do the trick.
Of course, the solar panels are not the only aspects of the system. An off-grid system will include storage batteries and perhaps a back-up generator. As these parts require more monitoring and fixed care than the real solar panels, it’s wise to plot periodic inspections so you can maintain your solar energy system at full efficiency.
If the solar panels are tied to the local electric company, you will still need an inverter for your system. An inverter takes the electricity generated by your solar panels and converts it to alternating current for your appliances. The inverter has no mechanical parts but is an integral component of the system and should be monitored.

Solar Panels: Can They Add Value To A Home?
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Adding a solar electric system to your house is a foremost choice and investment. And if you are thinking about it, you may also wonder if it will add value to your home. To help you pledge that question, here are several points to take into consideration.
First, how is the awareness level in your area when it comes to the advantages and value of using solar energy? If you live in an community where a lot of broadcast are concerned about and involved in the green living movement, potential buyers might be keen to pay a highter price for a home that already comes with a solar electric system. But if your community has small eco-friendly involvement, for example there’s not much recycling or concern for environmental issues, buyers may be not very excellent to the money and work that went into installing your solar panels.
But even where there is utter apathy for green living, most broadcast can appreciate the thought of saving money. Does your house have a history of energy savings over a number of years? If you can produce a record of your energy savings over the past few years, you will be able to demonstrate how the solar panels you installed are a benefit to new owners. With the cost of heating and cooling as high as several hundred dollars a month for some families, savings on utilities becomes a foremost concern.
But how can you prove energy savings if you have just recently installed your solar panel system? You can contact the local electric utility company and request their statistical projection showing your rate of savings over time. You can also obtain data from the company that place in your solar energy system. Many of the larger solar installation companies have marketing departments that gather that kind of data to help broadcast see that solar panels will generate energy savings for them.
Something else to examine is how run of the mill solar power systems are in your housing market. If solar panels are run of the mill , the real estate agent will be able to give you real statistical data showing the difference in promotion price between houses with solar power systems and houses that have only broadcast utility electric service. If this type of data is unfilled in your market, you have the best possible documentation that can be shown to a potential buyer.
