What research has been conducted in the field of stem cells for the regrowth of nerve cells?

I want to know more about this field but need a basic information . I also want to know about HOW these results were achieved. Has there been any revolutionary scientific breakthroughs either in stem cell research recently. And could anyone please inform me about how far we off maybe regrowing USABLE nerve cells and any key info related to this subject.

I have to end a research paper by tomorrow for my teach science honest , and my project is to mummify a fish. But my science instructor has this warped perception of everything, so I have to find some current research being done on the topic of mummification. I’m looking through College Board’s website for career interests and I can’t seem to differentiate between being a just a medical researcher and being a biomedical laboratory researcher. Is biomedical lab research just a sub-field of medical research? They are both listed as different careers in the same class of medicine.
I’m interested in working in the medical lab as a career, but are there different requirements for either careers? And what other opportunities are there for someone who is interested in the medical lab?
